Mercedes CLK — Pioneer CarPlay dropped into the wood-trim dash
We brought an older Mercedes CLK up to date with a Pioneer CarPlay and Android Auto radio — phone, navigation and music, set neatly into the original wood-trim dash.
The fun of an older Mercedes is the interior, so the goal was modern tech without disturbing the character. The Pioneer unit fits the double-DIN dash opening cleanly and gives the owner Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and navigation off their phone — a daily-driver upgrade that still feels like the car it's always been.
AVH-2500NEX
This CLK came in with its dated factory stereo. We dropped in a Pioneer AVH-2500NEX — a 6.8-inch Apple CarPlay and Android Auto touchscreen that fits the double-DIN dash cleanly, so an older Mercedes gets modern phone integration without disturbing the wood-trim interior it's known for.
