This Porsche owner wanted modern Apple CarPlay without giving up the car's factory fiber-optic amplified sound. We integrated a new Alpine head unit and kept the original amplified system fully intact.

Behind the build
Porsche's factory audio runs on a fiber-optic network, so a normal aftermarket radio would kill the sound the moment it's unplugged. We used the right interface to keep the factory amp and speakers live, then added a clean Alpine touchscreen for wireless CarPlay. The result is modern phone integration with zero loss of the sound the car was engineered for.
